Signal modes

Understand Confirmation, Contrarian, exits, classification and optional quality filters.

Confirmation + Exits

Confirmation signals follow the estimated trend and are intended to confirm an existing directional idea. Normal markers can appear around retracements, while strong (+) markers show the higher-emphasis signal class.

Exit crosses identify points where an earlier signal may be managed or closed. They are decision aids, not guaranteed take-profit instructions.

Contrarian + Exits

Contrarian signals look against the current move for potential exhaustion, tops or bottoms. They can react earlier than a trend-following method, but the chart may continue strongly against the setup.

Use reversal zones, declining momentum, trend strength and market structure as additional context before treating a contrarian marker as a reversal.

ML Signal Classifier

The optional classifier labels signals from 1 to 4. For Confirmation, 1–2 can suggest a retracement or possible reversal while 3–4 more often align with continuation. For Contrarian, 1–2 tend to occur earlier and 3–4 on a more developed move.

ML Classifier Filter1234Controls which classes remain visible; 34 shows only classes 3 and 4.
Signals Sensitivity12Lower values react faster; higher values focus on longer moves.

Quality and accuracy filters

Signal Quality offers All Signals, Filtered, Strong Only and Premium Only. Optional Accuracy Filter offers Off, Balanced and Strict. Stronger filters reduce the number of visible setups; they do not guarantee a better outcome.

Higher Timeframe Filter provides the context used by the accuracy filter, while Confirmation Window controls how many bars a filtered signal may wait for trend strength to confirm.

The clean reference workflow keeps Signal Quality on All Signals and Optional Accuracy Filter off until the trader understands how much each filter reduces frequency.
